Well today is a new day and I’m up and ready to get some shit done. My first stop is the job search. I usually search in the morning and again in the evening. Next will be a few things around the house, laundry, dishes….nothing exciting.
Both dogs have had some type of stomach bug, so they are home with me today. One is currently in my lap and the other is doing her slow laps around the dining room table. I’m hoping the literal shit storm has passed with both of them.
We are trying our hardest to eat at home, so I’ve taken some pork chops out of the freezer. We eat out a lot. It’s easier when it’s just the two of us and someone doesn’t eat leftovers.
I’ve been watching Married At First Sight, well kind of watching, it’s part watching and part background noise. I am astounded that people would actually marry someone without knowing anything about them and never seeing them. Of course I had to Google how many couples are still together and there are 12 out of 64 couples that are still together as of May 4, 2024. Not a great success rate, but still surprising that some have stayed together.
We have temporarily put the house search on hold. I really need to have a job before we go diving head first into a new house. I know me, I’ll want to renovate and decorate ASAP and that won’t happen with our current situation. Unless a steal of a deal comes along or a mid-six figure job, we will pause until late this year or early 2025. But I still look on realtor.com everyday…lol
